History

Like so many things in life, the Toogoolawah Men's Shed started with a conversation in a pub.

The Shed began under the umbrella of the Lions Group and many who were in the pub that day became the first members.

A couple of years later in 2012, the group took the necessary steps to become an incorporated Men's Shed and a stand-alone group.

The group operated a drop-in centre in town and a separate workshop, before moving the entire operation to the old water supply site at the top end of Bellambi street.

Work is well underway to transform the site, along with its iconic water tank, into an equally iconic Men's Shed. Now is a great time to join our group to connect with and make new friends while maintaining an active body and mind.

What We Do

Utilising our large range of tools and equipment, we restore and build furniture and toys, repair equipment and do other odd jobs.

We assist other local community groups such as the Red Cross, the Historical Society, Lions and the Community Center with projects and events as well as providing one off post trauma/surgery or disaster assistance to individuals.

Some recent projects include Possum boxes for ARROW, a street library for Coronation Hall and a large kids cubby which was raffled off to raise funds for the shed.

Come along to get involved in group projects, work on your own projects, or just stop by for a chat.

We also have a great range of shed made items available for purchase or custom order.  To discover the range check out our Store page via the link below.
